This was really long week. I was really tired, so I treated myself with 2hours of classical music followed by a 12 hours long sleep. Now am somewhat happy, but still cant go out because of rain. It’s raining like cats and dogs from morning. So far it’s pleasant start for a perfect weekend. Will sweat out in gym next few hours, then hit shaleen’s place. So, no more words as of now, I might update this post if something notable happens.

At Nakshatra

So, we had a great time at nakshatra last Sunday. It’s been almost a month since we last met. The occasion was mrinal’s brothers marriage. We missed the reception in Delhi, but mrinal was gracious enough to compensate that. As you know, am always ready for good food, so naturally I was the first one to reach the place. Sinha came last, as he was carrying a brand new N900 (which is a little heavier than his other set :). Shaleen did his best to restrict sinha from geeky lecture, but the gadget was really awesome. Am personally impressed with both the camera and video quality. Only ashwin was silent. I guess he got bored with our childish discussions, or maybe he was thinking about some unsolved problems from codechef. We really din’t realize how 2.5 hrs got over. I had a thrilling auto ride on my way back to home. It feels heavenly to glide through deserted inner ring road.

My views on reservations in india

If you are reading this article just to find some brand new facts or opinion, then am afraid to inform you that there is absolutely nothing new in this article. My school buddy Dr. Soumalya has posted some updates in orkut regarding reservation,secularism and minority politics. I don't know what provoked him, but it's his words which inspired me to spend some time on writing this article.

You see, reservation is not a new stuff in our country. And most of us know that it's not an option. Still most of us favors it. The reason behind this is different for different people. Some of us are enjoying it, as they fall under minority tag. Some of us are in politics, and we love minority vote bank. And there are many people, who doesn't have an opinion. So they remain silent. Taking advantage of this situation, our government is introducing various types of reservations for various stages of society.

The result of this:-

1. Incompetent people in important positions.

2. Worst affected area is the medical profession, probably. It gets hit in 3 phases. First, they are getting advantage in entrance test( this heinous injustice may be compared to maradona's hand of god incident :) ). Secondly some incompetent people become doctor, which is pretty dangerous for public health.And because of these incompetent doctors, the meritorious doctors who belong to reserved category, gets affected. For example, I personally avoid going to schedule cast doctors fearing he is incompetent(Provided, he is totally unknown to me). Trust me, there are plenty of people who thinks in my way.

3. Reservation in any form, ignites racism. It's like acknowledging races in official way.

4. It's like wasting tax payers hard earned money to give some people undue advantages.

5. Some antisocial built their business around this situation. How? they provide fake sc/st/obc certificates to so called "higher" cast people. So that they can enjoy the fruit of reservation unlawfully.

6. Countries overall growth suffers.

I know I have missed a lot of points in the above list. To be frank, that list is endless. So how to improve the condition of backward people ? I must say, Darwin was politically incorrect when he talked about survival of the fittest. We fail to accept that success and prosperity is not for everyone. Able and hardworking people will move forward, regardless of his cast. And rest of us will stay behind to form the backward class of society. In my opinion, if we really want to see more people in the upper crest, we may consider these ...........

1. Provide proper primary education, nutrition , freedom of thought , access to knowledge resources at early stages rather than pushing him into iits or iims at a later stage.

2. Arrange for scholarships for economically backward people, and please for god's sake don't select them based on cast or religion.

3. Teach the minorities not to think themselves as minorities.

4. And obviously, stop doing cast or religion oriented politics.

After all we are human not vote bank. Politicians should realize this.

1. I appreciated argentina's talent, before match . Never argued with others in this regard.

2. I didn't canceled any previous commitments for this match.

3. I concealed tension, and excitement too :)

4. I jumped only after 2nd goal. Rest of the time, I was in my usual posture.

5. I dint cut loose after the win.

6. I didn't called all my argentine friends ;)

7. I told 4 street dogs that germany has beaten argentina by 4 -0 , while having dinner in a road side restro.

Thats all.So I guess, I changed a lot compared to 2006. Am I matured now??? or did I just got old ! :)

The other day , when I was chatting with my buddys we came to know that there are some people living in romania whose surnames are really funny if pronounced in Hindi. So I sat with google and delved into some yellow pages and social sites and brought out these names. First of all you shouldn’t get angry if you see your name here This is meant for pure fun. And I expect people to contribute profoundly. So here goes the list….

6.Marshall Law And we are talking about a person, not about army law.

8.Jack Haas It’s such a common name .

This list can go on and on. Please suggest if you find anything. Am closing this with a hindi film name Andheri Raat Mein Diya Tere Haath Mein . Hero of this movie is Master Bhagwan. And here is the proof.

A very happy new year to all of you. I am not going to write a full length review for 3 idiots!. But i just felt, i should spend some time praising amir. Last 3 years, he has been dominating the holiday seasons with his masterpieces. Really, his passion for perfection is quit exemplary. This time, he made something specially for us, engineers. Through out the movie,he kept on stating that it takes a lot to be a geek.It’s a age old theory, we are all well aware of that. But still most of us dint learn it. Some including company hr’s thinks good gpas are the signs of geeks.And then there are those, who thinks using css made them geek .Jokes apart, amir beautifully wrapped some serious issues with college humor and served it with hot kareena sauce. Simply marvelous . I dont know what SRK fans are thinking, but i would advise them, while seeing this movie just forget that you are a srk fan. Who knows, you might change your idol too

Yesterday when i sat for writing a new entry to my blog, i was just thinking that why am doing this. I mean what is the use of this, really. Apart from you, i don’t think any other person reads my blog So why am waisting my time for you. You might be thinking that i have become a bit eccentric, but thats the truth of our life my friend. In a way we are all mad. Just look at babies. Wise men said that babies are the greatest examples of truth. They can’t lie, they can’t hide. May be thats why they behave madly. Thats our true nature. As they grow up, they learn to hide, learn to lie. So they become ‘normal’ like us. But then again, if they start claiming that they are not mad,Then we take it as first sign of madness. So whats the bottom line ? you know you are lying, but you can’t express it.
Coming back to square one, I am planning to do something big.Bigger than this blog.i need a month or two, just wait and watch.

Week in review 1

So there I was, in the midst of dean and bustle of ever congested Bangalore. It was a long week, not because of work – but due to my BMTC adventures. The week started like it always starts, so nothing to write about it. In the middle I was completely busy proving my points in my workplace. Truly, there’s a lot to learn from your first job. My mentor is really friendly with me. He kept protecting me from coding,still this allowed me to explore some other areas of software domain, like designing,planning etc. In fact, for the first time, I am planning before starting coding .

On the other side, Ramasis arranged a fridge for us. Its a nice change on the home front. But it’s impossible to maintain ration in advance. We realized that on the first night itself. We were lucky that we ran out of cooking gas that night. Otherwise, our ration would not have lasted more than one night. Having an egg drinker in house, is not really good at all. Like always, Srijo is enjoying his morning sleeps. I never had problem with that, but now I feel really frustrated every morning seeing his cute sleeping posture. I hate running for bus at 8 in the morning. I feel so sleepy at that time, that I barely notice morning beauties

One of our favorite personality, Mr Ashwine (Typos!) went to Udupi. So i made good use of his plastic bed. It feels heavenly sleeping on plastic, you are bound to feel like a toddler once again. Except for the fact that you can’t pee. Moreover, Sinha was sleeping just bellow, so peeing on Ashwine’s bed was a definite no no. Talking about pee, i recall the south park episode Shaleen has shown. It’s really awesome. South park is good, but it feels better when enjoyed with Cartman himself. Discussed a lot about my intranet project with Shaleen and Sinha on Friday night. The whole Saturday got wasted because of mrinal. It appears that some one was so busy with his maid, that he dint had time to go out for medicine. So Mrinal has to run with his medicines. I really feel pity for this guy. He works very hard for others , but all his works just glorifies his ISKON like nature. We also relate ISKON people to some soft natured, so called males with personality disorder. In fact, a significant portion of last few years have been wasted in discussing the similarities between them and ISKON. Thanks to Mrinal, apart from discussing that, we spent a good time at Mocha. Its a must visit place. Ambient is very classical, and some of the visitors came in really short boxers. So considering that and some really deep neck lines, I think its a nice place to hang out. We observed a guy with hookah, laptop and a bombshell for long. I was thinking that he is a real geek, enjoying everything while working on his lappy. Later we realized that he playing quake. What a jerk! Anyway, ther’s not much to mention about evening. It was filled with more gay jokes than any of Karan Johar’s movies. Poor Mrinal

A designer's nightmare

Here are some of the posters which i once feared, but now i enjoy their comical beauty. A small disclaimer, i dont wana hurt the designers behind these posters. I can understand what it takes to design.Most of the designers use to pour their hearts content in what they design, but they simply forgets that people may not like to look inside their hearts. A little bit of brain would have been more prefarable. But anyway, just enjoy the posters.
